At a rapid pace and with a ground-level perspective, two friendly football fanatics recount phone calls with Lothar Matthäus, appearances on football’s Sunday-morning pints television show Doppelpass, and rainy away games in Rostock. They also present dynamic films about screwed-up interviews on the sidelines and national coaches picking their noses. And in all this, they have, as the great theorist Andreas Möller once put it, "vom Feeling her ein gutes Gefühl" (roughly: felt [they] had a good feeling).

Philipp Köster, born 1972 in Bobingen near Augsburg, is a co-founder of the Arminia Bielefeld fanzine “Um halb vier war die Welt noch in Ordnung” (At half past three everything was still fine) and has been editor-in-chief of 11 FREUNDE since 2000. In 2010, Medium magazine honoured him as “Sports Journalist of the Year”. Jens Kirschneck, born 1966 in Minden, wrote for the Süddeutsche Zeitung, Frankfurter Rundschau and others before becoming an editor at 11FREUNDE in Berlin in 2005.
