WOMEN IN TROUBLE NOMINATED FOR THE FRIEDRICH-LUFT-PRIZE
Susanne Kennedy's Women in Trouble, which premiered at the Volksbühne two weeks ago, has been nominated for the Friedrich-Luft-Prize. The Berliner Morgenpost newspaper has awarded this theatre prize, named after Berlin theatre critic Friedrich Luft, every year since 1992. It honours the best theatre production of the year in Berlin or Potsdam. The next performances of Women in Trouble are on 23 and 27 December, as well as 6 and 20 January.

10000 GESTURES INVITED TO TANZPLATTFORM 2018
A Volksbühne dance production that premiered at our Tempelhof venue in September, Boris Charmatz’ 10000 Gestures, has been invited to the Tanzplattform 2018 (17-18 March in Gelsenkirchen). This festival is the most important contemporary dance event in Germany, and takes place every two years in rotating host cities. On 1-3 February, 10000 Gestures will be shown for the first time in the Volksbühne Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz. Tickets are already on sale.

FEVER ROOM ON AGAIN IN JANUARY
For all those who weren’t able to secure tickets for the six performances of Apichatpong Weerasethakul’s Fever Room last weekend: don’t worry, it’s not too late! Tickets are still available for the performances at the end of January in the Volksbühne. In a talk in the Roter Salon on Saturday, Weerasethakul revealed that he will also present his new project SLEEPCINEMAHOTEL at the end of January at the International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) (25-30.01.).
