In German

Ich seh Monster is concert, biography and work of theatre. Every title in this very personal solo performance is simultaneously both song and story from the incredible life of Berlin musician Nikko Weidemann.

As a singer, guitarist and composer, Nikko Weidemann worked together with musicians such as Rio Reiser, Nena, Einstürzende Neubauten, Yoko Ono, Nick Cave, Sean Lennon and Rufus Wainwright and released his own records as well. Numerous compositions for film, including Gegen die Wand, Wer, wenn nicht wir and Beatlemania. In 2018 he received the Grimme Prize for the soundtrack for the Babylon Berlin television series.

Nikko Weidemann stands on stage, surrounded by his instruments and performs the heavy rotation of his musical life like a kind of human jukebox. A biography of a musician with music from Chopin to Supertramp and several of his own songs. There's no fewer than 50 songs, even though some of them only last 10 seconds and others are played to the very end. Individual moments are highlighted, ranging from the early 70s and 80s up to the present day. Full of the tiniest details, they secretly transform into an astonishing journey through Germany's history and present.
