Ostseedialoge VIII:
Ulf Peter Hallberg (Berlin) & Tor Eystein Øverås (Trondheim)
Roter Salon

In German

Moderator: Mareen Bruns

The Berlin-based Swedish author Ulf Peter Hallberg (The Glance of the Flaneur, published in German by Kiepenheuer Leipzig 1995, European Trash, Dzanc Books 2013, 1989, Spleen Nordic 2019) and the Norwegian writer Tor Eystein Øverås (Baltic. A literary journey, Oslo 2005) engage in a dialogue hosted by Mareen Bruns about time – change – constants, in life as in writing, with their respective connections to the Baltic Sea. The one changed Malmö on the Öresund for Berlin and wrote a novel about Strindberg in Copenhagen, the other travelled for 8 months around the Baltic Sea and experienced the sea as a supranational literary space.

In two sets, they read from their works and chat with one another. The evening is framed with music and a background projection with photos of the Copenhagen of Strindberg's time as well as the trips the authors have made along the beaches of the Baltic.
