Alexanderplatz, 4 November 1989. An elderly actress quotes from Brecht's “In Praise of Dialectics”. A former Stasi general admits that his leadership is living in an illusory world. A civil rights activist speaks about the end of the silence and the beginning of hope. Hundreds of thousands are listening. They clap, they cheer, sometimes they whistle and boo as well. There's one thing, however, that they agree on: they are at the right place at the right time. It's an opportunity to change the GDR for the better. The rest is history that still needs to be made. Because there's the present as well. Or are we too late again?

30 years after the mass gathering on Alexanderplatz, the event is returning to where it all began: to the theatre that initiated and organised the protest together with other theatres, and that turned the theatre lorry into the speakers' podium.

A post- and pre-revolutionary collage with performances, music, film and a Lada.
