Peaches: There's only one Peach with the Hole in the Middle
main stage

Concert, Performance

Over the past 20 years, the musician and artist Peaches has created a wide-ranging oeuvre centred on music, performance and a multimedia game of signs. With her music she brings thousands to the dance floor in clubs around the world and has appropriated masculine-connotated genres such as rock, punk, heavy metal and rap. Her explicit lyrics about body image, gender trouble and social inequality can be read as postmodern poetry. As a master of uncompromising avant-garde popularisation, she's made sex-positive feminism socially acceptable on the concert stages of the world. For THERE'S ONLY ONE PEACH WITH THE HOLE IN THE MIDDLE, she's created a futuristic stage happening with almost 40 musicians and performers. Inspired by the variety shows featuring 70s LGBTIQ icons such as Bette Midler and Liza Minelli, and with costumes by the avant-garde hair and fashion designer Charlie Le Mindu, Peaches catapults her vision of the past, present and future of queer feminism to the main stage.
