An Evening with Aviva Silverman
Grüner Salon

Visual arts

Together with Emily Shinada from Providence, US, who is a performance artist, organizer and relational game designer, Aviva Silverman hosts an evening at Grüner Salon that contextualized her practice and introduces some of the topics she is interested in: aestheticized versus embedded action, the production of symbols, arenas of expression from the theatre to the street and the explosion of that through total surveillance.

Aviva Silverman (born 1986, New York) works with sculpture, performance, photography, and theater. Solo exhibitions and performances include: Protect Me From What I Am, Swiss Institute, New York (2019) and Twister, MoMA PS1, New York (2016). Group exhibitions include Greater New York, MoMA PS1, New York (2015); It Can Howl, Atlanta Contemporary, Atlanta, Georgia (2016) and I Surrender Dear, Salzburger Kunstverein, Salzburg, Austria (2016).
