Concert, audio installation:
Gemma Ray
main stage

Volksbühne presents a two-part evening of music from Gemma Ray, performing her new album Psychogeology and beyond, with full band.

Also: An exhibition of two audio installations by Gemma, presented for the first time and for one day only:

'Psychotic Gemmation: A sonic tapestry of process, progress, madness and form'. This psychedelic chronicle is a personal appendix to 'Psychogeology'. Gemma documented its evolution and now turns it back in on itself.

"Psychogeology, which was again written in Gemma's adopted home of Berlin, is both shy and intimidating. And absolutely enchanting." ROLLING STONE (4 stars)

"The search by pop critics for role models has brought Gemma Ray many honourable comparisons. The Englishwoman and Berlin native of her choice also proves her great independence on her eighth album...compared to albums like 'Island Fire' and 'Milk For Your Motors', which are also already outstanding, the new songs are even more splendid and bombastic - without ever shattering Gemma's great voice. The song 'It's Only Loneliness', which is driven by a wonderfully warm bass groove, is her most beautiful success - a career highlight." DPA

"Wonderfully complex music without stylistic limitations" GOOD TIMES

"Fabulous reverb-soaked, sunlight-dappled, Laurel Canyon sweetness" MOJO

"An enriching journey" Long Live Vinyl

"Sensual and dark at heart" Shindig
