Inspired by a poem by Georg Trakl

Through his sculptural approach to language, space and time, Claude Régy confronts us with the essence of theatre. After the premiere of Dream and Derangement (2016) the 94-year-old, who is one of the most influential directors in European theatre, announced his retirement. Claude Régy has transposed Georg Trakl’s black feverish dream into a formally restrained intense stage séance. With this piece, after a long absence, Régy is returning to Berlin. The last time a work of his was performed in the city was in 2005 with his production of Sarah Kane’s 4.48 Psychosis. With Yann Boudaud.

Production: Les Ateliers Contemporains.
