From the lecture hall to the stage – If Josin hadn’t followed the call of music as a student, she would now be performing surgery not songs. Instead of the scalpel she chose the mike and now dissects bits, bytes, song parts and sound patterns to create elegiac pop hymns. Yet her musicality doesn’t spring from nowhere. As a daughter of two opera singers she was surrounded by music from a young age and now references classical and electronic influences equally in her music. The result – now available on her debut EP ‘Epilogue’ – rings with crystal clear vocals, combining piano and programmed beats, often sounding like a worthy alternative to Radiohead. Before beginning her big solo tour in Spring, Josin played her melancholic pop in supporting acts for bands and artists such as RYX, Boy, Roosevelt and Sóley.
