Concert, Film

One song, two generations, 25 years and 40 minutes - Eure Kinder werden so wie wir (Your children will turn into us) is a music film that traces German history from the fall of the Berlin Wall up to the present day. Klaus Maeck (producer of Head-On and Fraktus i.a.) has filmed "Eure Kinder", a song by KRAUS that received the Panikpreis from Udo Lindenberg, as an epic music video. It’s the world’s longest song that tells one story (40 minutes), recounting the 25 years from reunification to 2015 in 25 stanzas. Its form is that of a gigantic music video, but with feature film resources: a silent film about music that will be accompanied live by KRAUS during the screening. The film deals with childhood, growing up and becoming an adult in post-reunification Germany, with all the ugly, beautiful and specific things that take place in the microcosm of a typical block of flats. Four children and adolescents are accompanied over a period of 25 years in fast forward.
