Three Little Pigs is a portrait of Germany. In the context of Liberté, Albert Serras first theater production in the Germanspeaking area, Volksbühne Berlin presents the 101 hour long film mammoth. It was shot in public, every day for two months in four different locations around Kassel in 2012. Played by nonprofessional actors recruited in bars and from the dOCUMENTA team, it represents a reflection on the construction of Europe, its cultural identity and its foundation. There is no dramatization and no improvisation. Page by page, the actors play Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Adolf Hitler and Rainer Werner Fassbinder, portrayed at specific times of their lives, quoting and reading three specific books in their integrality: Gespräche mit Goethe by Johann Peter Eckermann, as well as a selection of Hitler’s private conversations, Tischgespräche im Führerhauptquartier 1941–1944, collected by the British historian
Hugh TrevorRoper, and the interviews and statements by Rainer Werner Fassbinder contained in Fassbinder über Fassbinder: Die ungekürzten Interviews, edited by Robert Fischer. One of the least known master pieces of contemporary cinema presented by Volksbühne in its integrality during a 17 day marathon of projections, which will take place in 3. Stock. An English translation of the piece will be provided.

Your ticket for Liberté provides free admission to the screening of Three Little Pigs on the same day, provided there are seats available. Alternatively, present your Liberté ticket to the box office staff for 3€ tickets to the Three Little Pigs screening of your choice.
For 51€ you can buy a combined ticket for all the 17 days of the Three Little Pigs screening.
