Line-up 17.09.: 13:30 doors open, 14:15 warm-up with 24 dancers, 15:00 workshop with Boris Charmatz, 16:00 picnic with (untitled) (2000) by Tino Sehgal with Frank Willens, 16:50 Common Sleep, 17:30 performance 10000 Gestures, 18:40 dancefloor with T. In A Dancer’s Day, the choreographer Boris Charmatz intersects the day of a dancer, revealing their structures and routines: warmup, rehearsal, performance, rest, taking over the space and the dancefloor. Visitors follow the dancers within the expansive airport hangar, and have the opportunity to rehearse sequences from Boris Charmatz’ new dance 10000 Gestures with the choreographer. All participants enjoy a meal together before a group slowly emerges from the collective to introduce a new movement ritual. Over the course of six hours, A Dancer’s Day delves into the architecture of a dance, culminating in its long-awaited world premiere: 10000 Gestures. A fascinating idea, a piece for 24 dancers, in which no single movement is repeated. An explosive, fleeting alphabet of dance. Only to disappear again as swiftly as it appeared.

Bring a picnic and comfortable clothes!

press voices
