Rosa Tharrats

Rosa Tharrats, born 1983 in Barcelona, focuses her work in garments and fabrics through a multidisciplinary approach that embraces fashion and visual arts as a form of sensation telling.

She has studied graphic design in Elisava and fashion design in Instituto Europeo di Design, obtaining with her thesis the Catalonia Emerging Designers Prize, Barcelona 080 in 2007. Her work has been featured in magazines and press such as Vogue or Dazed and Confused. She had a furst solo show in Galeria Cadaqués in 2015 and has also participated in the collective show A Joseph Beuys (To Joseph Beuys) in 2016 with her textile installation Space for the 22nd Century. She has been working with artists like Donna Huanca, Jordi Colomer or Gabriel Ventura.

She has been the costume designer of Albert Serra for several years, creating the costumes for Three little pigs, Singularity, Story of My Death and La mort de Louis XIV, 2016. For the last two works, she won the Gaudí Costume Price.
